I’ve jus had a really excellent evenin! I had my second date with Ruth. Some of you may ask – Who the hell is Ruth? Well – she’s cool and wonderful and kinda my new lady friend. I aint gonna go on about it all. Lets jus say she’s a wicked girl!

I’m feelin good bout it and it’s AAAALLL GOOOOOD!

Burns & Bake Off

Last night in Steve’s honour we had a Burns night. We did the full traditional thing complete with speeches in bad scotish accents and haggis. Was a good night. I was knackered though. I got up early and i jus aint used to it!

 I went round to see Angie and we baked some delicuious Mocha Squares. They were yummy.

I met up with Ruth for  a coffee before that too – She is yummy.

And i also saw Bishwop and Ruth again – great!

Feelin groovy today!

Yes today i find myself grining ear to ear becuase of a certain someone. Not quite ready to go public but needless to say the grin factor is high!

It was a good weekend. Friday eve my sis Angie picked me up and we wnet to the pub to see a friend do a Jazz set. Angie and I had a good ol natter. The first in a loooong time. It was ace even though it was an early night. The perils of parenthood for my dear Sis.

Sat I went to my folks for dinner. Had a nice meal with them and a good ol chat.

Sunday was the usual followed by the pub which was really quite good too. that certain source of grinage was present as were a bunch of other friends. I was forced into eating a bit of humble pie which was painful but also a very good thing. When i got home I watched the first 2 episodes of 24 season 6.

Jack is back!

Afterwards i started a new video graphics project. I’d been wanting to try something for a while and it clicked on how to do it while watching 24. The results so far were excellent.

Taday was spent sorting through all that and developing it further. However Orange are now threatenting to cut me off on my phone bill. The bastards  have still not sorted out their screw-up which is why i aint paid my bill. Then bulldog cut my broadband for the same reason. They too have still not sorted my bills! Argh.

But I’m still grinnin!

good day!

Today was a gooooood day! Partly cause last night was a very very good night. Those involved will know why. Even though today did start on a weird note. I woke up after having a weird dream sort og gone badish. I dreamt that i was batman and i was running with catwoman. At one point Catwoman was jumping through the air between a couple of buildings. She was aiming to grab onto a pole traversing the two buildings but she wasn’t gonna make it so I as batman swung down to try and save her.

As we flew she just missed the pole but she was grabing out with her hands and her long claw-like fingernails were tapping off the pole. I then woke up to the same sound which was the ivy outside my window tapping on the glass. It was very odd indeed. Any readings into this would be appreciated.

My afternoon was pretty dull – didnt really get much done. This eve I went and had dinner at Victoria & Richard’s place and James was there too. We had chicken and it was gorgeous. a very tasty meal!

So all in all a good day!

PHP and techie stuff

ok so I really have bitten off a little more than i can chew on this whole wordpress game. I’ve found a few tutorial sites that show you how to build your own wordpress themes (the layouts and style) but they are all very complicated. It makes me realise how limited my webskills are. It is all PHP scripting and such which i have bugger all experience in and its alot to take in.

 Implementing the styles from my old site is looking to me more difficult than i previously hoped however its good as this means i will be advancing my knowledge of it all. Watch the site for more developments!

Busy busy busy

today has been a busy one. Tom came over this morn then we went round to his. Its been kinda non stop all day. Got a bunch of stuff to get done for the morning! Its jus all a bit last minute and hectic.

I’m thinking that part of my lack of regular posting last year was due to the complexity of how i had to write stuff! – Hopefully this will all change now that i have this workin properly! – Yay

Had a nice day today. Mest some frioends this afternoon and had a giggle. Then went on to Meet my bro in law Andrew for his birthday drinks in the pub. It was cool An old friend of mine Simon was there. He’s a year younger than me but he is married with a daughter and another baby on the way. It reminded me that life is going rather quickly! Its weird!

So Now I have this running off of wordpress I now need to work in all my own style sheets never mind all the old blog entries. I dont think I’ll be able to avoid doing all of this manually which is a bit s**t to be honest. but there you go! From now on the blogging bit should be a much easier process to manage and I’ll be able to do it from anywhere not relying on dreamweaver!

I also have to incorporate all the other stuff like the videos and the gallery and all that stuff – It’ll happen!

Been working on an animation project involving South Park and Richard Branson. So far its looking hilarious and hopefuilly the client will agree.

More Developer stuff

This site has been evolving dramatically over the years along with my skills. As I learn i apply it to the site. I need to get more flash stuff going but for now I am getting a hold of CSS however its not all plain sailing. I don’t have a full understanding of the coding yet. At the moment i tend to go back over what i have done and adapt that. I’d like to be able to understand the code fully and write from starch – Ho Hum

Still on the look out for a Microsoft SQL database that will run a blog and allow me to use all my css stuff too. If anyone knows of one please let me know. Yes I know there are tones of MySQL free databases like wordpress out there but our web server is a Microsoft based server and the hosting company wont allow us to my mysql onto it – cretins! Anyway any ideas much appreciated!

Its 2007 – Wow! Happy New Year everyone!

So Last Year was a bit s**t for me! We all know this but this year will be better! Well it had better be other wise I’m gonna have to go and kick someones head in, who’s I dont know, pronbably my own. Hoping to pull things together this yera and get everything sorted work wise so I can actually make a living rather than a survival! Its gonna be good!
