The meaning of “meh”

By Blog No Comments

A weekend of niceness was had this weekend. I avoided doing as much work as possible and only ended up doing a few things that needed to be done. I did waste several hours on the development of this site though. GEEKY BIT: I’m trying to figure out an easier way of using this site. Upuntill now I’ve always manually updated the site using frontpage to add entries and so on. What I wanna do is incorporate a blog database stylee thingamajig. It will also mean i will be able to update the site from anywhere in the world without needing frontpage or dreamweaver or other such applications to sort this out innit!

On sat eve I went up to Walpole park and met some friends at The Jazz festival – Nice! We all went back to a friends house and drank some more but i think the mood died a lil bit so it didn’t last long. Eventually JP and I strolled back to ours and had a bit o a chin wag.

Sunday morning I went round to my Bro’s place to tidy up his flat for him and welcome him home from his travels. The afternoon was spent in front of the telly where i promptly fell asleep for a bit, then dinner then more telly viewing was done. And that’s bout it really.

South Ealing Floods

Today I saw the most impressive storm I have ever seen in London. There was some bloody loud thunder and a ton of lightning. With the load cloud it mad it all the more dramatic. – Before it started you could literally feel the build-up of tension. The rain was monsoon like at some points. It resulted in the street flooding. I went to cross the road and stepped off our garden path into water round my ankles.

I love storms by the way. They are wickedly ace in that ooh exciting kinda way!

My oh my

That was a bit of an out burst… So I had another one of those days where I was feeling low and annoyed. These days happen from time to time. Its my prerogative and those of you who know me well know that i aint always a moody dork.

Saying that a friend told me something quite interesting the other week which made me think. This girl was actually someone i went on a date with and the date was a bit pants. She told me why the date went wrong. I came across as being a bit of a depressing angry at life sad bastard type of person. Which while being a bit of a shock, also made alot of sense. My situation has been pretty testing over the last 6/8 months and as a result I have become quite moody. Working constantly from home and not getting out enough also contributes to this whole whoha. It’s hard times and I’m doing my best to pull myself out of this hole I is in!

Did a temp job yesterday as a receptionist. It was very very dull indeed but it’s money and it was nice to be working in an office with a bunch of people. I spent most of the day reading and finished a book.

I now also have 3 weeks of work in Manchester booked for September. Its LED screen work doing the family game show favourite: “The Price is Right” Should be rather amusing. – And no I wont be on telly I’ll be behind the scenes.

In the mean time I am applying for other work left right and centre. So Those of you who work for companies that may have any media based work let me know. Web/Video is my bag so ask around and lemme know!

Ooooooh fudge socks!!!!

I am now realising that I am a complete f**k up!

I am also wondering why my general perception on people is going down. What happened to courtesy and people being nice, kind and considerate. I know I’m living in the big bad world now but why are there so many selfish people out there?

GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

We partied till the wee hours! – Actually the party was a bit lame. A ton of people never turned up. Of the people that did, one of them I detest! He’s a bit of a t****r and always takes things too far. There was a fight between him and someone who shall remain nameless but – I was not happy that he turned up nor that pissed said person off so much to induce a fight! The party was ok but after that it went a**e over tit really!

The dressing up as ladies was rather amusing but the bra was too much for me and i was the first to break and change into man clothes again.

Sunday was Ace!. My sis Sandra and her 2 oldest kids came down from Glasgow so we had some nice family time – Photos will follow soon! I am still hungover!!

Finally made the Thunder trailer live today click HERE to watch it.

I’ve not been posting much recently cause I’ve jus been, well ummmm dunno – lazy? So What’s been happenin in the world of Irishmark? Well – I’ve been getting more broke by the second and if i did not have such gratious parents I’d be screwed!!!!

This weekend was a good one. Tom asked me if I wanted to help out at Hyde Park Calling. It was fuggin ace! I was the cable basher which basically involved me running around on stage after one of the cameramen making sure he didn’t get tangled in his own cable. This meant being onstage with the various acts! The best part of it was The Zutons and The Who! Was truly a wicked weekend although stupidly busy!!
