19 Oct Really enjoying the rides and starting to feel like I'm getting fitter. Still a long way to go before the confidence I once had returns.There's lots of muscle memory that has faded or is not as willing and the post ride aches are rife. 08 Oct Had a brilliant ride today mainly because the rain stayed away but it was a real technical challenge in places. First time on Super Nova and 50 Acre. Nova was great but very wet and some large lake-like puddles. I came off and jumped into a tree to avoid face-pls tiong into it on a section of dropoffs that I simply forgot about. Came away unscathed! Super Nova top section was nice and flowy but the lower section was not fun on 24" wheels.50 Acre Woods was really technical and rooty so was just harsh in the wet. Spent most of it groaning at the wheels slipping out.
