14 Jun For the 72.I thought twice, then again, then again about posting this image because I thought some might be offended by it. But then I realised that's what people should feel. When seeing this we should remember what happened and be horrified not only because of the tragic loss of life but also because it was entirely preventable.As we slowly navigate a new world where I desparately hope that the #BLM movement will shine a much needed light on the issues of racism in this country. I hope that this also opens up opportunity for real change in the imbalance of equality in all our communities.We must remember that the Grenfell fire spread because of unsafe cladding that was approved in a typical example of caring less for the poor. A heinous lack of respect and care for those people in order to put profits before those people who lost their lives.Look at this image.Be horrified.Then remember that we can make a better world. We can be better. 10 Jun It's been a few weeks with the new setup but I was waiting for the final element which arrived today.3 weeks ago, my #MacbookPro just stopped being able to work as an edit machine. It forced my hand to upgrade so after some intense research and consideration I opted for a fast 27" iMac. The other element was the new #Presonus audio monitors which I was able to buy because I sold the apple wireless keyboard and mouse.I'm really pleased with the new setup which should get us through the next few years. The computer is fast and stable and the monitors are a great addition although I still have to bed them in and mount them properly but that may have to wait till after we move. 16 May I've been enjoying taking photos more during lockdown and its been a nice distraction from the daily grind. I've been taking my camera out more frequently to do so and challenging myself to be more creative. This is not exclusive to the main camera but also includes the phone too. I had, up until yesterday, been planning to upgrade my camera gear with an entirely new camera system and changing brands. I say up until yesterday because yesterday my Macbook Pro dramatically succumbed to overheating. Its been on the blink for a while but yesterday I was mid edit when it just couldn't even cope with playing simple footage in the edit. I even created an air duct from my room fan to get more concentrated air onto it. So a little sooner than expected, I have to upgrade the computer which means I cannot afford to upgrade the camera just yet.Here's wishing for more work to afford both… So what computer should I upgrade to?
