Finally went out and found the fun bike stuff at #HanhamWoods today. Discoverd a lovely spot with some jumps and a great step-up jump with a mellow take-off. Perfect for relearning how to jump a bike again.I'm still unable to jump well at all but it was nice getting a tickle at it and getting both wheels in the air after such a long time.After about 45mins, I met @kaievesphotography and had a great chat about jumping bikes, we jumped our bikes and soon after I was knackered from all the pushing back up the hill. Finally hung @rufus2612 birthday present on our living room wall. Final day of #homeschooling for me with these two. They go back to school on Monday and even though its been really difficult and it's tested my resolve to the limit and there's been shouting and crying and throwing of things and tantrums and many levels of a**eholery, I'm feeling sad as I know I'm gonna miss being with them all the time… So today, we started our homeschooling as usual. They got out the notepad, wrote their names on the top of their sheets and we started the first lesson. However, I told them I wanted to try something for that exercise and started to type a message on the screen that suggested instead of doing any work, that we should go find ice-cream instead. Had a brilliant ride today mainly because the rain stayed away but it was a real technical challenge in places. First time on Super Nova and 50 Acre. Nova was great but very wet and some large lake-like puddles. I came off and jumped into a tree to avoid face-pls tiong into it on a section of dropoffs that I simply forgot about. Came away unscathed! Super Nova top section was nice and flowy but the lower section was not fun on 24" wheels.50 Acre Woods was really technical and rooty so was just harsh in the wet. Spent most of it groaning at the wheels slipping out. Yes, there's dirt on her face, a graze on her chin and a chip on the helmet and she got right back on and ride home!My legend of a wife @rufus2612 had her first crash today when she decided to take an unplanned nap in a ditch by the side of the path.
